Shelly Head

Shelly Head NSW So we're off on our first adventure for 2019.  A quick hiking trip to our favourite Shelly Head.  A quick walk in to setup camp at a remote campground.  Heavy packs (with all the water) made the inbound trip quite hot and we needed a few stops on the way.  25kg for me and 10kg for Charlie...  lightened Charlie's load after the first stop of some water.  Not sure how to get my pack lighter!!!  The rock pools were amazing.  We saw some cool octopus, sea cucumbers, sea slugs, lots of fish and some interesting sea birds.  We visited the caves on low tide and on the way back to camp came across a big male kangaroo and a lizard/goanna of some sort.  Unfortunately, due to the lack of rain (1st trip in summer time) the tea tree shower/ waterfall was just a trickle! An amazing bright full moon and even a visit from a friend topped this little trip off.  Until next time! Off we go! Love the textures of the place Such a nice walk New Tent! The
